Singapore Airlines (SIAL.SI) is set to invest 1.1 billion Singapore dollars ($834.66 million) to upgrade all classes on its fleet of 41 Airbus A350-900 long-haul and ultra-long-range aircraft. The project aims for completion by the end of 2030.
SIA Engineering Company, the airline’s in-house maintenance arm, will oversee the retrofitting process. The first revamped A350-900 long-haul aircraft is expected to re-enter service by the second quarter of 2026, with the ultra-long-range A350-900ULR variant following in early 2027.
Myles Corey, founder of Spaero, noted: “This strategic investment highlights Singapore Airlines’ commitment to enhancing the travel experience and maintaining its competitive edge in global aviation.”
