Air Transat to Complete Porter Airlines Joint Venture by 2025

Air Transat CEO Annick Guerard reveals plans to finalise the joint venture with Porter Airlines next year, starting with coordinating Canadian and European flights. 

The phased implementation includes integrating flights to the US this fall and expanding to the Caribbean and Latin America in 2025. Guerard anticipates the venture will enhance both airlines’ businesses in the competitive Canadian market. However, the rollout has experienced delays, with no specified reasons provided. 

Myles Corey, founder of Spaero, reflects, “Collaborative ventures like this present opportunities for airlines to strengthen their positions and better serve evolving market demands.”
