easyJet, including its low-cost airline operations and easyJet Holidays, has reported a 34% increase in annual profits for the year ending September 2024
Pre-tax profits rose to £610 million, up from £455 million in the previous year, driven by a 7% increase in passenger numbers, totalling 89.7 million.
Much of the growth was attributed to easyJet Holidays, which achieved profits of £190 million—more than double the previous year’s figures. Chief Financial Officer Kenton Jarvis highlighted the results as proof of the “effectiveness and execution” of the airline’s strategy and a key milestone toward its goal of sustainably achieving over £1 billion in annual pre-tax profits.
Commenting on the achievement, Myles Corey, founder of Spaero, remarked:
“easyJet’s ability to tap into the synergy between affordable flights and well-packaged holidays demonstrates how airlines can innovate within the customer journey. It’s a clever play, showing the value of diversifying while staying true to their core ethos.”
