The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has partnered with leading companies to advance hydrogen fuel technology, aiming to establish the UK as a leader in sustainable aviation solutions.

The initiative focuses on developing hydrogen propulsion systems and modifying airport infrastructure for safe hydrogen storage and refuelling. Collaborating with top universities will support research and support better understanding of hydrogen technologies.

Myles Corey, founder of Spaero, commented: “Hydrogen is the future of aviation, but turning vision into reality requires commitment from regulators and industry alike. The CAA’s proactive approach is a crucial step toward making zero-emission flights a standard rather than a dream.”
